Japan 2001 :: PINKLOOP [band web site]

For a full description of this trip, go here. During 2001 (and twice in '02), I went to small rock concerts in the Kyoto area, and became friends with a few of the bands. One of the bands' drummers was someone I worked with at my restaurant job, so I took every opportunity to check them out. They're getting pretty big now, touring everywhere, and you can pick up their two CDs anywhere in Japan. Other great Kyoto bands include Saboten, Kamogawa and The Mobsters.
